Job Description Summary
Oversees the development and execution of design and print production services for Finance and Business Services Marketing, including the creation of print and digital materials, environmental graphics, and the coordination of production processes. This role requires advanced knowledge of the Miami brand standards and includes providing strategic guidance on branding for FBS.
Job Description
- Responsible for managing all aspects of creative workflows—including intake, timeline adherence, and final production—within the Airtable project management platform.
- Lead creative designer with FBS account managers.
- Maintain ongoing collaboration and communication with university designers and other creative professionals engaged in Miami's branding initiatives.
- Oversee operations of the FBS print shop, including supply procurement, weekly project scheduling, equipment troubleshooting support, and project invoicing.
- Participate in FBS marketing client meetings by leading discussions on design concepts and facilitating collaborative brainstorming sessions.
- Research design methods, styles, images, and graphics for new projects.
- Participate in professional development activities.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned by the Director Marketing Projects and Operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; OR Associate’s degree and 2 years of graphic design experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge designing marketing materials within brand guidelines.
- Solid understanding of design principles including typography, layout, color, photography and branded elements.
- Demonstrated experience with graphic design software, such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supervising student workers and other creative team members.
- Demonstrated experience in graphic design within a higher education environment.
- .Experience installing wall vinyl and large-scale super graphics
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of environmental graphic design and signage.
- Customer service skills; including diplomatically, patiently, and successfully handling complaints, problems, questions, conflict, and suggestions.
- Self-motivated and well organized.
- Ability to show discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability and willingness to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Highly creative, curious, and imaginative.
- Proven expertise in design and layout for both digital and offset print production
